Release Date: 22. April 2024

End Of Life Notice!

This is the last software release for the snom D345 and snom D725 phones. These devices already reached the end-of-life cycle.

Supporting SB-327 and PSTI regulations

For the D862 and D865, we already support the SB-327 and PSTI regulations to ensure your security when using our products. To obtain your password for the device, you can configure it the following ways

  • by provisioning by setting the http_webserver_password, or
  • in PhoneManager to execute the wizard, which guides you through the setup, or
  • on the Phone User Interface.

Without configuring the http_webserver_name and http_webserver_password settings, the phone cannot be put into operation and does not allow calls to be started or received.

Warning

The parameter user_active accepts only the values on and off, according to TR-114 parameter table. A provisioning from any other value is converted to off and the identity will be deactivated. Before upgrading, please check your TR-069 settings.

Important Notes

NOTE:

For the new D8xx series, starting with D862 and D865 this is our 6th. Release deprecating the previous releases.
Please note: As the D8xx series is based on a substantially modernized software/software architecture you may find limitations & functional gaps compared to D3xx & D7xx series. The severity of such depends on the scope and complexity of your specific PBX solution. But no worries, if you find your solution not yet fully supported as known from D3xx & D7xx: By upcoming development we will not only strive to close such potential gaps in comparison to D3xx & D7xx series, but even surpass these series in the future. Please make sure to review the known issues and limitations section below and see our PBX Partner overview in regards of D8xx series interoperability scope.

This Release is also the third one officially supporting the recently launched entry-level models D140 and D150.

You will find a great start line in these D8xx Instructions. For additional information, datasheets, and how-to's please visit the product-specific sites for D862 and D865.

Known issues and limitations:

SAP-6326: The new WUI, web user interface is far advanced, esp. technically compared to D3xx & D7xx but does not yet support the entire scope of options & features known from its predecessor @D8xx series

→ Workaround: You can still access the predecessor web interface via http:// IP address of the phone:3112 (please note the http instead of http*s* and the port 3112) Please check the current value of setting: webservertype to be set to http_https or http for this workaround.

XQI-4743: Snom D865 / D862 re-invite after refer when performing a transfer. This can cause problems especially when phones of different brands are part of the blind transfer scenario. Currently, no workaround is available. The bug will be fixed as soon as possible and an update will be provided.

D86x now supports multiple headsets with USB connection. Some Bluetooth headsets, however need to be still tested and configured.

→ No workaround.

On D86X, the transfer is not started, if the function key is configured to "Speed Dial". This is already fixed for the upcoming releases (XQI-4990).

→ Workaround with current software, change the configuration from Speed Dial to BLF.

On D86X, if a call is established, but on hold and the phone should start a new call, the phone suppresses the ringback tone. This issue is fixed for the upcoming releases (XQI-5053).

→ No workaround.
