Hello there!

I tried to upgrade the firmware of a Snom M900 to Version 740, Branch 104, which appears to me to be the newest version. The previously installed version was 610 Branch 03. Unfortunately, after rebooting the DECT station web interface is not available anymore. The station blinks with red light. I factory reset the device, pressing the reset button for 10 seconds, which resulted in the red blinking light becoming permanent red light. After some time, it gets green, then red blinking again. When the light is green, we can ping the device. At all other times, we cannot ping it.

I have already installed other M900 stations with the firmware version 730, branch 104, in the same network and there weren't any issues with those.

    Hi,

The LED blinking red means the base is either having network or SIP registration issues

What is the meaning of the LED colours on the M300, M700 and M900

Please try to disable the LLDP protocol in the local network and reset the base again, then get on any handset and enter the discovery menu (Menu, then * 4 7 *) to see if the handset can see the base at all and with which IP

If the handset cannot see the base, and it keeps blinking red, something may have gone wrong during the upgrade and corrupted the base

In that case please raise an RMA to get it replaced with your Snom reseller or distributor

    Thank you

Thank you for your reply, Gianmaria!

I disabled LLDP on the port, which did not have any success, unfortunately. However, I also tried to disable netlogin on the port, which is mostly being used in the network and configured the port to get direct access to the respective VLAN. That actually turned out successful and I can access the web-interface again. If I reset the port configuration to the previously used netlogin, the DECT station can still be accessed until the next reboot, where we get the same problems again. After realising this, I downgraded to version 730, which doesn't result in the described problem.

So, from my observation, it appears, that version 740 won't allow netlogin authentication.
