New to snom VoIP phones. I'm more used to Yealinks. Was gifted a D735, Connecting it to a Bicom clouded backend. It works with a few little problems. To start with, it's in my bedroom, and the display is so bright it keeps me awake. Is there a way to torn it off after 15 minutes, say?
And how can I find it's IP address? Probably need to web to it to easily change parameters I expect?

Feb 14, 2023Hi,
To find the IP you can use the phone's interface directly, get into Settings->Network->IP Settings→IPv4, and you can access the web interface by using this IP in a browser (the PBX may be configuring http credentials or https access, by default the phone doesn't have any http credentials).
You can also set a timer to dim the light and the level of the light when dimmed using the two parameters below
dim_timer
backlight
backlight_idle
If you have more questions this may require some deeper investigation, please raise a private ticket if you are a Snom partner or ask your Snom reseller to do so for you (or contact our sales team to understand how to become a partner https://www.snom.com/en/contact/contact-person/)

Feb 14, 2023Thanks muchly for that. I'm going to try now to figure out if I can edit the extension on the Bicom/Asterisk backend UAD to send that instruction to the phone whenever it turns on. For now I started reading the manual and found how I could locally go into settings and at least DIM the display, which is a pretty good start until I master the initialization / provisioning method for the snoms from my backend. FWIW, I still have some m3s and m9s wireless snoms I use!
