I am pretty new to SRAPS and love it so far. Unfortunately, I'm having a few questions which - given an overall lack of documentation - I try to clarify here:
- We are using snoms flagship desk phone: D865.
- We want the phones to update to the latest firmware, however, providing the link to the firmware .bin file via SRAPS does NOT yield an update on reboot. We also set the "firmware time interval" to 60 minutes, but this doesn't solve the problem. Also setting Firmware Update Policy to "Update automatically" does not force the phone to update on boot. Our question is: Which specific settings do we have to set to which specific values to force an update on reboot?
- Is there a setting which forces the D865 to re-check provisioning in regular intervals?
I hope someone can shine some light on this.

Mar 20, 2024Hello I am not an expert on SRAPS as well. Not sure what is missing or what blocks the update via SRAPS. Hopefully a team member with SRAPS knowhow can spend a moment to help out.
Regarding regular intervals for provisioning re-check we have on phone site e.g. this scheduler feature:
Provisioning Polling for desk phones - Snom Service Hub - Snom Confluence
and a option to trigger a reset or a re-sync/re-provisioning via SIP messages is supported as well:
How to trigger the phone to reset or synchronize its settings via provisioning - mass deployment - Snom Service Hub - Snom Confluence
Hope that might be supportive. Thanks and greetings from Berlin,

Mar 20, 2024Thanks, Jan. We just added the provisioning polling and interval settings to the profile and check whether those will in fact trigger automatic re-provisioning on the D865s. However, the firmware update still is not triggered. When we unplug and replug the D865, it does a re-provisioning. However, it doesn't seem to pick up the firmware update. Can you have someone in product management check this?
We consider being able to bulk update phones and keep them up-to-date a key feature of any enterprise grade provisioning solution. This should for sure work on the D865s.
