Hi,

Can you help I’m trying to set up multicast broadcasting between 2 SNOM PA1s but they have 2 different firmwares, the master or relayer is running snomPA1-SIP 8.7.5.75.

The listener is running snomPA1-SIP 8.8.2.26  (UC edition).  First of all does this work?

Secondly if it doesn’t work how do I downgrade the PA1 with the UC edition SNOM PA1?

I cannot downgrade the UC edition software to the same 8.7.5.75,  I enter the correct URL to the SNOM site it appears to load, the SNOM’s red light goes on and off it restarts but afterwards it still is at 8.8.2.26, a factory reset again doesn’t do anything to the firmware, can you help how I can do this please?

Relay/Broadcast settings made on both relayer and listener

On the listener (running the UC edition 8 firmware) I have set the multicast address 239.255.255.249:5559

On the SIP relayer Auto Answer is On and multicast address is set 239.255.255.249:5559

Elsewhere we have a UC edition PA1 relayer talking successively to UC edition PA1 listeners over multicast but as we are migrating to Teams from Skype we have now have to use the standard SIP Firmware version but had hoped we could leave the multicast listerners on the UC edition 8 software.

Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
you can upgrade from UC firmware to SIP firmware directly. If the PA1 remains at the same UC version, you can try to follow this guide for a complete reset:

    https://service.snom.com/display/wiki/Snom+PA1+TFTP+Recovery+Procedure

Please also check that that PA1 is not using an autoprovisioning that push the UC firmware (smile)

Hi, unfortunately I'm now not able to get to the web interface, it doesn't have RC3 on the sticker on the device.

I can still ping the device, what are my options, I did reset the device from the button on the PA1 as a last resort?

to recap it was running snomPA1-SIP 8.8.2.26  (UC edition) and I was trying to get it to snomPA1-SIP 8.7.5.75.
