We only have 1 DNS server IP address. Our SNOM 715 phones always add a 2nd server as 8.8.4.4 which causes internal DNS lookup failures 50% of the time. We use DNS lookup to get the address of the ldap server. I have tried adding the same address twice to our DHCP which works fine for other clients, but not the SNOM phones. It appears that if the DNS server address is used for primary and secondary DNS, the phone recognises this, and only uses it once, and then adds 8.8.4.4 as a secondary again. The last thing I tried was manually configuring DNS servers with the same address for primary and secondary. It accepted the config, and I was hoping it might use the secondary I'd specified, but when I switched back to DHCP, it just used 8.8.4.4 again. Is there any way to fix this without installing a secondary DNS server?
