There are six types of status messages categories, with different priorities in appearance and types of notification.
Each of these messages can be applied to any of the message categories.

| CanceledCall | A call is canceled. |
| CurrentIdentityForewardsAfterTimeout | The currently selected identity has activated call forwarding after timeout. |
| CurrentIdentityForewardsAlways | The currently selected identity has activated general call forwarding. |
| CurrentIdentityForewardsWhenBusy | The currently selected identity has activated call forwarding when user is busy. |
| CurrentIdentityHasTextMessages | The PBX has at least one text message for the currently selected identity. |
| CurrentIdentityHasVoiceMessages | The PBX has at least one voice message for the currently selected identity. |
| CurrentIdentityIsDnd | The currently selected identity is set to not receive calls. |
| CurrentIdentityIsNotRegistered | The currently selected identity is not registered. |
CurrentIdentityIsSilentAlerting | The Broadsoft feature Silent Alerting is enabled. |
| DateOngoing | Lync UC edition FW only: Info regarding an appointment in ongoing which is provided via Exchange Web Services. |
| DateReminding | Lync UC edition FW only: A reminder regarding an appointment which is provided via Exchange Web Services. |
| DfksFailed | Device Feature Key Synchronization (DFKS) subscription failed. |
| EmergencyCallNumbersMisconfigured | The emergency call numbers are misconfigured. |
| EthernetUnplugged | The network cable was unplugged. |
| ExpDeviceCabelingBroken | No connection to a D3/D7. |
| ExpDeviceLimitExceeded | Too many D3/D7 connected. |
| FirmwareUpdateFailed | The last attempt to apply a firmware update failed. |
| HidConnected | An USB HID device is connected. |
| HidConnecting | An USB HID device tries to connect. |
HeadsetIsActiveNoAudio | Headset is the current active audio device but no audio is received / transmitted yet. |
| Identity<01...12>ExtendedRegInfo | Lync UC edition FW only: Due to an outage (e.g. network issue) with central Lync services phone switched in Branch Appliance Resiliency mode on the SBA (survivable-branch-appliance). In this mode only limited functionality is available. Phone calls will work, but Presence, CF etc. might not work. |
| Identity<01...12>IsNotRegistered | The n-th identity is not registered (whereas <n> can be 01..12). |
| IPv4Conflict | The IPv4 address conflict detection encountered an error. |
| LocationRetrievalFailed | Lync UC edition FW only: Provides a E.911 related Location Disclaimer / Warning if the location could not be retrieved. |
| MediaStackReset | The media stack restarts. |
MonitoredExtensionIsRinging | The phone’s monitored extension is ringing. |
| NoActiveCallsOnExtensions | No active calls on extensions. |
| NoValidDirectorySearchConfiguration | Directory Search Configuration in settings is not valid. |
| PhoneCannotReachNtpServer | The phone failed to reach the NTP server (system time might be wrong). |
| PhoneHasDisabledSipStack | The phone cannot make calls due to a Snom device license issue. |
| PhoneHasFirmwareUpdate | A firmware update has been received and is ready to install. |
| PhoneHasIncomingPublicAnnouncement | An incoming public announcement (PA) is being played. |
| PhoneHasLowMemory | There is not much free memory left on the phone. This may cause strange side effects. |
| PhoneHasMissedCalls | There are missed calls. |
| PhoneHasNoAdminPassword | The admin mode of the phone is not password protected. |
| PhoneHasNoHttpPassword | The web interface of the phone is not password protected. |
| PhoneHasTextMessages | The PBX has text messages for at least one configured identity. |
| PhoneHasVoiceMessages | The PBX has voice messages for at least one configured identity. |
| PhoneHasVpnError | A VPN error has occurred. |
| PhoneIsLocked | The phone's keyboard is locked. |
| PhoneIsWaitingForCallCompletion | Call completion is active and phone waits for notification of remote party to be available again. |
| PhoneKnowsCallCanBeCompleted | Call completion is active and phone received a notification that the call can now be completed. |
| PhoneProvisioningFailed | The phone's provisioning process failed. |
| PhoneProvisioningInProgress | The phone's provisioning process is in progress (retry counts). |
| PhoneProvisioningStarting | The phone is starting the provisioning process. |
| PhoneRefusedHugeXcapSync | A remote address book is refused to be synchronized via XCAP protocol, because it's too big. |
| PhoneWaitsOnNtpServer | The phone is attempting to reach the configured NTP server. |
| PhoneWantsReboot | A reboot is required, e.g. to apply setting changes. |
| PhoneWantsToUpdate | The phone asks for an update. |
| RingerIsSilent | The phone is in Silent Mode. |
RemoteOfficeEnabled | The Broadsoft feature Remote Office is enabled. |
| ServerMessageToBeShownDirectly | The PBX did provide a message to be displayed on the phone right away. |
| SimultaneousRingEnabled | The Broadsoft feature Simultaneous Ringing is enabled. |
SipWarningMessage | The phone received a SIP Warning Message. |
| StatusLineSystemMessage | Phone internal status or error messages that should be displayed in the status line. |
| SxmConnected | Serial Expansion Module is connected. |
| TlsPropertiesChanged | Properties of TLS-Configuration changed. |
| TlsUnknownCertificate | TLS-Certificate of server is unknown. |
| TryParking | The phone / user tries to park a call. |
| UsbDiskConnected | Phone has an usb storage device connected. |
| UsedIdentityIsNotRegistered | Try a call with an unregistered identity. |
| UxmConnected | A D3 or D7 USB extension board is connected. |
| UxmUpdateRequired | A USB expansion Module requires an FW update. |
| VisionConnectionLost | The network connection between the phone and a paired Vision has been lost. |
| VpnActive | The phone has an active VPN connection. |
| WlanActive | The Phone is connected over a Wi-Fi network. |
