Use cases

To use one of these icons on your Snom phone, simply copy the icon from here (from the Unicode column) and paste it anywhere you want to use it on your Snom phone, for example under Short Text for a line key (it is not a problem that the web interface displays the icon as an undefined square)

Function key labeling (second screen of a D385/D785)

Example: steps to replace the default icon for standard keys on the second screen of a D385/D785

Assuming you have defined the first label on the second screen of a D785 as BLF:

The phone will display it like this:

But you are not happy with the phone icon that appears above the name "John". You can replace this icon with any other icon from the existing list. For example, to replace it with a star (fkey favorites) icon:

• set show_icon_on_linekey to off to deactivate the original icon
• copy the Unicode value from the table on the left
• paste it under Short Text before the Name "John" (ignore the fact that the web interface displays the icon as an undefined square)

Now the key will change to this:

Hotel room phone

The D120 is the perfect phone for hotel rooms. It is reasonably priced, and it comes with a high definition B&W display which allows to use Snom icons to improve usability.
