The icons on the deskphones' display can be shown as pictures or text (or both, in some cases).
This can be modified by setting this parameter
And the changes will take effect in the following way

If enabled (on), soft keys are symbolised by text and icons
If disabled (off), soft keys are symbolised only by icons
| On monochrome display |
If enabled (on), soft keys are symbolised only by text
If disabled (off), soft keys are symbolised only by icons
| This can be changed on the configuration/provisioning file or in the phone web interface getting to Preferences→Appearance→Text Only Display on Soft Keys. |
