Description
Warning: Never set the setting to 'on'. Always try to resolve the issue by following RFC3581, setting the rport in via.
Precondition:
- The incoming SIP request does not contain the parameter rport (response-port) in its Via-header
- The incoming SIP request is originated from a different transport address
Context:Â
- If the setting is disabled (default), it will cause the phone to send the SIP response according RFC3581. For that the parameter 'rport' must be present.
- The setting only needs to be enabled if RFC3581 is to be bypassed or ignored.
- the parameter rport (response-port) is added to the Via-header of the SIP response
- the phone then sends the SIP response to the port derived from the transport address of the incoming SIP request
